Born and raised in Northern California by a family of artists and educators, I learned to understand art as a creative expression and as therapy. Performance art was a large part of my youth, as well as visual art, as I grew up studying dance and music. My love for travel and adventure began at young age, taking summer road trips up the coast, through forested national parks and old Western towns. I found landscapes, dilapidated buildings, and unknown places fascinating, all of which took part in developing my creative eye. At the age of 14 I experienced my first trip outside the states to Guanajuato, Mexico and not only did I immediately fall in love with the enchanted city itself, but a curiosity sparked inside me and I knew I wanted to explore much more of the world.
My love for the arts and culture continued through my studies. In 2013, I graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architectural Design and a minor in Spanish. I’ve since accumulated professional design experience working in all project phases of full-scope projects internationally - from concept/schematics through construction documentation/administration, as well as on-site FF&E installation and final styling. The majority of my practice has been in commercial multi-family housing, hospitality, education, and residential.
Apart from design, I try to see the world through different lenses, and feel at home on an open road. You’ll often find me walking around a new town with my camera in hand, discovering its hidden gems and vibrancy. I’ve found that traveling with a purpose has made life more meaningful. As a dancer, I believe that the opportunity to connect with others through various mediums of art is my ideal way to experience other cultures, while leaving a positive impact. I hope my travels and experiences continue to inspire my eclectic design style as I find aesthetic yet functional design solutions for clients and projects. My ultimate goal is to merge my passion for philanthropy and the arts by creating spaces that provide opportunity and empowerment, especially for children and women, in underdeveloped communities.
I’ve recently moved back to the states after co-directing the MIRAGE Design Studio & Contemporary Art Space in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Collaborating with a diverse team of creatives (local and international), and seeing the opportunities unfold within my collective and the community I’ve grown to be a part of has been my highlight.
